frederick down to 63, baltimore 70 degrees, annapolis 75 and closer to the bay for leonardtown they're sitting at 68 degrees. this cold front arrives and kind of sweeps through overnight tonight, all indications that we have no real threat for some showers. we'll look out there in a second on radar to see if anything is popping up in our neighborhood. looks like it's going to be a really nice weekend for us. next week the next chance for rain and it looks like going into monday and tuesday we have a threat for some pretty decent rain. a little rain would not be a bad thing. saturday 78 for a high. we may have a couple clouds around early in the morning, but otherwise i'm thinking lots of sunshine. only problem with tomorrow, it's not a big deal but a little breezy, winds out of the northwest 10 to 20, an occasional gust tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon. a little bit warmer sunday and we're talking about the possibility of a few late day clouds coming in sunday, but i don't think it will do much and i don't think it's a problem. here we are, clear skies for now, but this frontal system i

i would show you the visibilities here and call your attention to baltimore which has been socked in all day, still down to .1 of a mile visibility, annapolis at .3, but off to our west we're starting to see visibilities improve because of rain entering the picture. all of that is to our west. some of these have heavy downpours, not thunderstorms, but it's all out ahead of a frontal boundary that will come through tomorrow morning and what fog is left by the morning i think will get dispersed by this front, but it's going to hang around between now and then. you can see as we look from oakton up to rockville and eldersburg we have heavier downpours starting to develop. these are all going to hang around for the next few hours and it is again part of a pretty big shift in the weather pattern that will come through tomorrow, a blustery day, a little brighter as a frontal boundary swings on through and kind of clears the fog out which we needed to do because for some spots this has been an all day affair. >> we'll see you later on. >>> want to tell you about a new alert out of virginia
i would show you the visibilities here and call your attention to baltimore which has been socked in all day, still down to .1 of a mile visibility, annapolis at .3, but off to our west we're starting to see visibilities improve because of rain entering the picture. all of that is to our west. some of these have heavy downpours, not thunderstorms, but it's all out ahead of a frontal boundary that will come through tomorrow morning and what fog is left by the morning i think will get dispersed...

i'm sorry, first we'll start with temperatures, 45 degrees in the city, gaithersburg 39, baltimore 42, 37 frederick. again things are gusting just a little bit and this hour at national it was still gusting to 26 miles per hour. it is beginning to calm down, though. you can see how many places not really reporting gusts and when you factor in the wind, there's still a bit of wind chill. so it feels generally like it's in the 30s out there when you step out. again, lows tonight really are determined by how light these winds get by tomorrow morning. i think they'll calm down quite a bit. in terms of this weekend, it's all kind of controlled by the high pressure. tomorrow high pressure is just to the west of us, keeps us on that cool side of the high pressure, but as we go on through the day tomorrow and into sunday, we'll be more on the backside of the high pressure and that's going to allow warmer temperatures to come in. i don't see 70s for the weekend, but i definitely see 70s coming back for the middle part of next week. so at least there's something to look forward to. >> thanks, g
